Patience pays off in the milsurp game, thats two holy grails this year.

28/30?

9MM, it is a m28/30. A couple of small flaws(including the tallest sight extension I have ever seen, you can see it above the sight guard) & the bore is a little pitted but for the price I paid I can't complain. This is the one that was advertised as a swiss mosin in the ee.

US Remington 1903

Some of you may have seen this rifle on the EE today...well it's now at Casa Cantom...
Looks pretty nice. Little sign of use, all the cartouches are there. Appears to have it's original barrel and wood. Barrel is counterbored, but bore is very nice...
Approx 1942 manufacture date, it's a 1903, not an 03-A3. Made by Remington with their mark on everything seen.

It's a Danish Breda Garand with a VAR barrel that I bought from LTR. Came with a Danish bayonnet, en bloc clips and a 1907 replica leather sling.

I bought this DCP marked Remington Model 14 1/2 from Epps (I'm sure some of you fellas saw it there).
It has been well used, but considering the relative scarcity of these guns, it might be a while before I see another.
Heres some info on the gun I recieved from a US collector on the "The Remington Society of America" site;

I'd sure appreciate any other info you guys may be able to add about the use of these rifles in military or Canadian Gov't service.

Not necessarily a government-ownership marking. Even civilian sporting rifles were proofed like that. There are several examples of Ross Cadet sporters with DC markings that were never in military service.

Well, this one is technically not a May purchase, but...

I just finished retrofitting a No4 Mk2 (so it's a "May Finished Project", close enough for this thread I hope :D). Went to the range yesterday with Sly Old Fox (I had a blast!), to try it out.

About 15 hrs worth in this one, but well worth it. I acquired what was believed to be a Bubba'ed No4 Mk1, turned out to be a Mk2. Just below my right hand, you can see one of the two notches I had to repair on the forend - I was not impressed when I received this part... thankfully the repair went well.

This one won't end up in the EE section...
