Two? That's not even a significant minority.:D Let us know when you've got to seven :D

Been there, done that and the most expensive one in the chest was $350....or was it $300. I can't remember....:p

Nice pieces though, you chose well, and as long as they don't get confiscated by the gubbermint, they should be a good investment.

Agreed…. Two isn’t that many when you consider how many were made.
The thing is at their current price it’s unlikely many but the well healed will be able to afford 7 let alone find that many for sale.
I’ll tell you what … I’ll offer you $500.00 each for the lot. That’s a clean $150.00 to $200.00 profit each.
Let me know ;)

Well I took the K31 out again today...

Shot pretty good at 50 yds...

But really opened up at 100...

Both were shot off a front rest... I'm not sure if it's just me not being able to see properly and not get the exact same point of aim every time... or what...

I'll try some of the accurizing tricks I've read about and post again...

Does anyone use a torque wrench to tighten the action screws? If so, what's the magic number?

ebruder, your group is maybe 1 1/4in wide, but 3 1/2in high. Either you're changing your sight picture by not placing the butt on your shoulder the same each time or you're moving your eye instead of your rifle to point of aim.
On the other hand, as the barrel is heating up, it may be pushing against the stock or maybe the rear receiver screw is to tight, or the rear receiver screw spacer is gone, or maybe it's just to short. It could also be the king screw is to tight/loose.
Other than that flier, the rifle certainly wants to shoot well. The ammunition, (GP11?) seems to be consistant.

a friend was selling some stuff so I had to rid him of this junk. Got both sling slot versions covered now: the one with the metal slots is a 53 and the other is a 55...aside from a certain few finn's these guns have the best triggers of all mosins...love em!
