It's a small ring with a mint bore. a vet bring back with new style NS marked safety, exterior has honest even wear with most of the blueing intact, I'm told the internals are perfect. Gun has been looked at for safety, all numbers match including locking block which shows no signs of peening. Serial number is 39424x

A not very nice picture of my very nice restored Saginaw M1 Carbine, from fellow board member Ted Syme. Beautiful gun.

Picked up a LongBranch, C Broad Arrow marked Bayonet,
c/w a wartime dated frog.
Goes very well with the RCAF marked #4 LB that I got from sgt. striker last month

Looks like May has been a slow month so far, lets see if I can liven things up.

Israeli K98k .22LR trainer. Converted after the way for the Israeli's to use as a troop trainer. An original German K98k with a new remington barrel, and the swastika's swapped for the star of David. (Actuaally a March purchase)

Universal M1 Carbine, non-restricted post-war version of the M1. With USGI furniture, USGI 5/15rnd mags, and a 1943 dated ammo pouch. Dispells any rumours about Universal's being substandard, almost 500rnds and no problems yet, though it sometimes enects into my forehead. (Another March purhase)

1943 Tula SVT-40, all matching in excellent condition (arsenal repairs on the wood). Shoots like a dream, the first shot is a flier, but the next 4 are within an inch or so of one another. Too bad some idiot sawed the magazine down to restrict the capacity. (THe only true May purchase)

Hi Skippy .... :)

Go to the second post in THIS THREAD (click here)http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=77722 and look for the description of Microsoft's Windows XP add-on called Image Resizer. This FREE Microsoft PowerToy add-on enables you to resize one or many image files with just a right-click of your mouse.

Download and install it, then use it on your pics to size them for a more reasonable screen viewing. It's an excellent program and the price is right... :D

Badger

Nice, Gentlemen!! Been a slow month for me, bought a nice matching German marked 1922 with holster. I was told this was manufactured in late 1941. Horrible little pistol, but pretty interesting at the same time:)

Just picked up "another" M1 Garand (IHC) that needs a little work and a barrel change. Also bought my very first brand new gun..... a Norico 1911A1-C. It has a nice parkerized finish, and I like the wrap around grip as well. I'll try to get her to the range this weekend.... :D

Nice Mosin's. Good reloading set up too.

There's a top 10 song about a guy who makes ammo in his wife's garage. ;)

Don;t you have an M39 yet SKSCanuck????

That would be breaking my >$250 per gun rule... :)

There's a top 10 song about a guy who makes ammo in his wife's garage.

Even my manager calls me a redneck now...

Mosin collecting is a disease, they need to start an orginization like MNA...yup...Mosin Nagant's Anonymous

Well the price is often right, surplus is cheap, they shoot good and you can make good reloads.
