Oh lord, I need a cold shower after looking at that. Nice 96! It tops my list (barely beating the luger ) of the most desireable handgun in the world. My envy knows no bounds. I love to shoot one of those lovelies some day!

Not really...

I got the C96 in a trade for my former BRS99, and bought a repro stock as well as a spring set, firing pin set, non-numbered bolt stop, and 2 boxes of fiocchi ammo from Norm Catlos here on CGN...

Surprisingly the C96 is actually quite pleasant to shoot. Hammer bite (slap actually) is a problem when using the stock though...

Just got a Gewehr 98 barreled action from a fellow CGN'er. I figure ill build it up into a complete functioning unit over the next year or so. That way I will be able to shoot it and not feel guilty about doing so as it won't be all matching...
