Really? On Amazon.ca? Does it get delivered straight to your door by the RCMP? Seems like a total sting/entrapment idea to me.... retarded lol.

The adaptor itself is legal. A thread adapter doesn't effect the sound.

Only illegal to use it, just like an M16 auto seer is legal to own. Just can't machine out a lower and install it.

Lots of reviews stateside....hell Hickok even does one. The adapter itself is still treated like a suppressor there and subject to the $200 tax stamp. Seem to work OK with .22lr if your sights are high enough lol.
 
i was thinking this might be a legitimate thing ( although kind of pricey for what it is ) ........

then i read on the end " for cleaning purposes only " .......

pretty much a blatant "nudge nudge , wink wink" kind of thing .

personally....if i were to acquire a thread adaptor of that size and type i might be inclined to make it myself or have a machinist buddy make one up for beer rather than purchase one over the internet where there is a paper trail ect ect...just food for though

Paper trails for things that are legal aren't an issue.

Unfortunately in this case it is not so cut and dry.

The law does not say its illegal only if you use it like you claim. It's all about intent in this case and if you buy it intending to use to as a prohibited device it is a prohibited device and illegal.

If you're using it in a prohibited manner a paper trail is the least of your concerns.

It was perfectly correct. The possession of the thread adapter alone is not an issue at all. Intent or not it doesn't meet any definition of a prohibited device.

It is not a, "device or contrivance designed or intended to muffle or stop the sound or report of a firearm, such as silencers."
