But I can't figure it out! Some sites list the Mauser C96 as a prohib, and some list it as a restricted. Sooo, which is it? I'd love to pick one up in 9mm, but I can't find the answer to this question online. Can any of the wisened ones here educate me?

it has to do with the length of the barrel-probably- you should know the rest- 4 inch and under, etc- same deal as the lugers- just in case you don't- 4inch and under are prohibited, (105mm) - it really doesn't matter as to the caliber unless it's also a 25 or a 32

Ah, ok..after some research using the barrel info, i see that they had barrels from 99mm and up, up to 20 round mags and some models were capable of full auto! Thanks for putting me on the right path!
