Maybe

I doubt it would be of any great benefit except for the die maker and the reamer maker making some money ... the .308 Norma is superb as it is... I chambered for it and never had anyone want to AI it.

It's been done. RCBS made dies at one point. It's kind of a 30-338WM with a 40 degree shoulder and 1 degree body taper. There are a few variations with exact shoulder location differences between them. Manson or PTG would have a reamer. Brass would be easy enough to form.

More is always more. How much more, is more enough, is always up to the fella getting the wallet out.

Aint that the truth...

Have to agree with Dennis on this!! The 308 Norma mag is a pretty efficient 30 cal magnum as it is.
I doubt the AI version would achieve anything really gratifying in performance gains. Dave.

The math shows about a 3.5 to 4.5 percent improvement. That translates to around 100 to 130 fps. Folks have been known to have done more, for less.

For a big 30 producing 3100 fps in a 24" barrel, another 100 fps is negligible.
I would have a hard time justifying the cost. But whatever floats your boat!
Dave.
