Reaching out to some of our senior members here to see if anyone has knowledge about "McCracken precision bullets"
I know they were an Alberta based company but that's about it. I have the chance to buy some .22 call for very cheap by today's standard. Any feedback is appreciated.

I shot a lot of those bullets in .224 and 6mm diameters. The guy who worked for McCraken was Al Murdoch.
He built and shot those bullets in BR and we used them a lot in Rifleman's Rodeo. I believe they were based in
Calgary.

They are a quality product. I shot some spectacular groups with them in my 222 and 6mm Remington.
IIRC, it was 70 grain McCrakens I was shooting when I won senior open at Salmon Arm Rifle Rodeo.

If you can buy some cheap, I would grab them. Dave.

Al Mirdoch and Terry McCracken were 2 of the founding directors of Benchrest Shooters Canada.

Another name that many know is Dennis Sorensen who was also a founding Director.

I have heard many stories of BR back in the day. They used to hold night BR shoots under the lights back in the day. You are blessed to be able to acquire those bullets. Buy them all.

Here's some History - very Interesting ! RJ

The Forslund Bros (Albert and Bob - The Twins ) were very Good Friends of Mine and Taught me a LOT about shooting and gunsmithing ! WE hunted together a BUNCH ( mostly Albert and me ) I met them both in 1967 in Vernon thru my older brothers . RJ

For those asking, it's on townpost, search the name mcjimmy and you will find the McCracken add and others. Another member called him and ibguess the seller will now only part with 500 McCracken bullets per person......not sure why, he sold me 1k. But he has lots of bullets for reasonable prices.
