I placed an order on the 6th @ like 10:00pm and I just received my 23lbs package form Purolator. shipping only cost $27.60 us

I have to say I'm VERY impressed, I can't get things that fast when I order in Canada.

I'm really happy they are taking new Canadian orders now !!

just thought I'd share.

So they finally started taking new customers outside the US again ? last 8 or so years I've had to get stuff through a few people I know who have accounts with them from before the "no more new customers"... and found other sources for some of the other stuff.

yep, I had to to the same thing.

your good to go on ordering now though!

Just gotta be careful with the "anti dumping " stuff, if they bring it up on some items, best to tell them to keep it, or expect to pay a fair bit more in fees to get it here...

they rock...i use them exclusively for HW.
Spae-Naur probably has as much stuff, but gawd is their website terrible. (I've even contacted spae-naur and mentioned this, and even THEY admit its a problem!!)

McMaster couldn't be easier to navigate and build an order from

Anti-dumping is supposed to have to do with not selling to countries in which the item is apparently available(but they sure don't tell you where to find it)
Ordering from them is the only time I and a customer ever ended up with anti-dumping fees to get certain things into canada. One they got me for years ago was 00-90 and/or 0-80 stainless screws, couldn't find them local, then a $2 box ended up with about a $50 duty anti-dumping fee.
I think my customer got caught on hammers and some other stuff. I don't know when or how they figure out what is and what isn't applicable, but I've ordered lots of other stuff from the US(places other than mcmaster) that I can get locally and never had it brought up...

edit, I should add, from what I remember they did contact me and tell me about the anti-dumping thing before shipping and gave the option to cancel for the items that fall under it.

I've dealt with Spaenaur for years ... it is easier to find stuff in their catalog than their website, unless you have part # ... that you would need to get from the catalog.

I believe they have us become the "importer of record" on these items - probably shifts the liability
