They are UNS mounts for night vision optics.

As an aside the forward mount on the left is the Canadian Forces PEQ rail which only has rails at 3 and 9. Why the CF elected to not have a rail at 12 is a mystery...

The one on the right is the mount we designed and produced for the USMC M40 fleet. Its official designation is "M40 Accessory Rail". It has rails at 12 and either 3 or 9 (reversible). Every USMC M40 either has this or is getting it.

The paint job is fairly recent, truth be known it was a nice way to hide the scars, dings and wear and tear this rifle has suffered from 3 years of shoots, and shows.

Thats right, you read that correctly. We finally are taking orders for the T3. The Tikka T3 will fit into the A2, Adj A3-5 and A5 stocks.

Thought i would let my boys on the Hide know. Thanks.

It's a new one. I chose black because I will never get tired of black.
And I never seen another all black timberwolf before so I wanted to be original yet simple. everybody has the camo or swirl colors these days.
