#### Davis from Mcmillan stocks posted on Sniper's Hide that the old M40a1's are being converted over to m40a3's and Mcmillan is selling the old m40a1 stocks with the bottom metal and a certificate of authenticity for $200 USD each. Now that I have already ordered my two I thought I would post this, it's a smokin' deal...good luck to all interested.

Lady at mcmillan said they were "very very used". Ie. Marines dragging them through the mud around the world for years. I'd rather just spend 400 and get one custom made for me

Same here, might as well wait a bit, pay more $$ and actually get what you want..For me, probably the New adjustable M40A1 stock.

A new one took my 'smith several months (around 4). The first one i bought, they have send me a long action while i did order a short one. Also, ther are pretty busy filling their military contracts.

4-6 Months is about average cause the war in Iraq...I just figured since they were already made(used ones) & should be ready for immediate shipment, right??

Mcmillian M-40A1 stocks

The guys at Iron Brigade Armory in North Carolina used to have a good selection of McMillian stocks. New and used, and different models. Plus they're good to deal with.

They were pretty fast to correspond:

We are waiting on another shipment of the M40A1 stocks, but they are
going fast. If you want to be put on the waiting list, I will need your
address, phone number and a Visa or MC number. They are $200.00 each,
plus shipping and should arrive in approx. 45 to 60 days. We can ship
to Canada via US Air Mail. All import documents will be your
responsibility.

No import document i assume...?! It is not restricted here... I dont think that my gunsmith filled anything (paper work) He probably just paid the tax at the customs.

If some of you are looking for one, Rick Timmins in Calgary ordered a few in good shape from McMillan..I've got one on hold & it doesn't go on my LTR, I'll sell it on this board.

hey Airborn, do you have yours yet? Rik said he would contact me when they were in. The ones we get should be a couple of the better ones available. Rik has some decent pull with those boys.

Nope not yet & yes, he gets the handpicked ones :) ..Should get a few soon but I'm in no super hurry to get it.

I want to get mine and clean it up .. Rik is gonna do my M40 clone when I pull the cash together. Those vintage stocks are just a really cool piece of nostalgia that I want for my clone. Most likely not as good as the new stocks, but I can live with it. I will put pics up when I get mine here and cleaned up. Let me know if you hear anything
