McMillan Stock vs Accuracy International Chassis

I recently finished a left hand build for myself and was torn between the same two options, went with the McMillan and Im totally 100% happy with it. Ordered direct from McMillan over the phone and the customer service was excellent. Only drawback is it takes about 6 months from order to delivery.

That is nice! I will be overhauling a 7mm mag remmy next year and have been strongly considering the M40 htg for it. How much did it run you for the stock?

J996 I really like the HTG - I have one with an integrated, adjustable, cheekpiece which is excellent. A M40A1 sort of look with additional functionality.

BTW - flyingdutchman86 that's a lovely rifle.

Thanks fellas!

J996, If you go to the McMillan website you can see all the options and associated prices, final price depends on the options you select but after exchange, shipping and import, by the time it got to my door I paid around $680 CDN.

Im gettign a custom long range rifle built that I hope to use for competition shooting. Im torn between the McMillan A4 and the AI AX chassis. I would get the Mcmillan bedded but i believe i don't have to do that with the AI...? I like the look of both but there just so different, and there about the same price when everything is put together. and I won't get a chance to feel them before hand... with everything equal Is one or the other more accurate? or is one better than the other for some reason?

insight from people who have them would be great. and any pics of their builds so i can see what they might come out like... Im running a Lilja MUT or M40 barrel, .300WM. Just gotta decide and give the go ahead...

McMillan A5 forsale right now in the EE

Thanks man. I did everything through the builder though, so they ordered it for me with all the features i wanted, and it was custom inleted for their custom action an BDM. All in all the A5 (with Sand Camo print, flush cup, adjustable cheek piece, and bipod rail) ran about 1200 of the build cost.

Im amazed the M40 is that much cheeper...
