Mcmillan stock

2 years..why? there must be a story behind this, inletting?

I don't know the entire story but from what I've heard they will not build another for an AV action. If they do apparently the price will increase significantly. I didn't order it directly from Manners myself, Joe from R P S International in Spruce Grove brought it in for me.

Well sounds like you have one of a kind then..lol

We sell a lot of our stocks to the USA. I am sure McM knows well who we are! Better quality and delivery by far!

Well maybe better delivery:rolleyes:,
McMillans warranty is by FAR the best, they don't care what the problem is, they warrant it, no questions, no hassles.

No hurling racial slurs, slagging and threatening gun builders who have a minor problem with 1 of your stocks.

Huh???? We can't deal with a "minor problem" unless we know about it! The only "race" I am against is the race of idiots.

"no questions, no hassles"

Seems our warranty is about the same then.

macmillan warranty is a bunch of crap

got a stock EDGE for Benchrest and got it pillared by BAT MACHINE and got it back to canada and went ot put it in the safe and the forend cracked when placing hand around it to hold it when moving towards gunsafe,

showed macmillan pics and becasue they would not pay to get the stock back nor do the USA paperwork and no shipping back I told them to stuff it where the sun dont shine, they said at the time 5 years ago they would just fill the voids and hope the structual was intact, brand new stock pillared by the best in the USA

a lot of BR stocks in the last 6 years were crap and no one uses them, the stock pattern was nice but the voids were terrible,

now I use Robertson and so do about 6 countries that are in the World Benchrest Federation including the Aussies who are the current wrold team championship holders (although they did not all have robertson at the time they like it better than the stocks they had and they all shot ours stocked with robertson)

mac sometimes makes good stocks but to say their warranty is great is just untrue,

if so buy my mac br stock for 400 and get a new one any takers

That is odd and certainly NOT my experience with McMillan.
We have a client who by mistake loaded his rifle with pistol powder, ended up blowing the rifle up. We sent the totally destroyed remains back to McMillan and McMillan replaced the stock for free. They were well informed as to what had happened and still said, if there is any part that is recognizable as a McMillan bit, we will warrant the stock and did so.

The 1 and only issue I have had with a Robertson stock resulted in a very unprofessional letter from Ian that I can post here if requested.
In Ian's defense it was a minor crack that was NOT a big deal to fix, but the handling of the inquiry was not what I would have expected from a pillar of the gun community.
