Here is one that is pretty much your color percents. how ever you could match this stocks numbers and get a completly different looking stock. There is no predicting what the colors do in the mold.

Here is one off snipers hide with the same mix numbers as mine it's always a gamble what you are going to get.

I asked mcmillan about this and they said that it happens. They have no control what happens with the colors in the mold. there is also no controll with how they measure they try to get it as close to your numbers but varies by who does it. Thats kind of the fun of it you order and you wait and it's always a surprise what shows up.

Hey guys thanks for the pictures keep them coming. i had my heart set on a mcmil A-3 but i hear that they wont custom inlet the badger ordinance M2008 into anything but an A-5. so i may have to go with the manners Comp. but when it comes time to order the stock i will make a call then. i just prefer the molding over the pain on patterns.

I think I might be the only person that think that "McSwirly" bullsh*t looks ridiculous.

Maybe not.

I've got a McSwirly on my 375 Ruger and I've seen about a dozen in person and I'm still not 100% sold on the looks.:p

My buddy has one and he is thinking about painting it camo...

There is no doubt that they look finger painted by a 4 year old at the best of times.:p

Manners composite

Talked to Manners comp. today, great service Every time i talk to them. They will inlet the badger Ordinance M2008 L/A in to all Tactical stocks they list. they have any action there already for in-letting.

Yeah well the problem with Roberston, is they aren't taking any orders right now, and haven't been since before Christmas. I know McMillan wait times are long, but not even taking orders is insanity and frankly unacceptable in the business world. If you are that far behind, and that successful, you order more equipment, and train more staff, you don't just throw your hands up in the air. I know the page says they are doing that, but they have been saying the same things for months. It's a great product, just don't expect to be able to get one made for you anytime soon.

I buy McMillan, but then they actually seem to care about servicing a market for just about every custom feature one could want, along with inletting for damn near an action (and left handed too). Someone who is really smart should build a program to ID what a colour mix McSwirly MIGHT look like with certain percentages, cause I see these threads all the time lol.

Ian is doing what he thinks is right for his business and his customers.

The trick with growing a small business is keeping quality where it belongs as well as increasing production all the while managing everybodys expectations...Not easy!
I'm sure the new Robertson Composites will be worth the wait.

McMillan takes a different approach.....You get your stock when you get it.
Oh, they have the polite service staff that makes you feel good as they take your money, but I have waited as much as 7 1/2 months for an A-5.
I find it strange that you consider this good customer service.

I wonder how long it takes to get a Robertson stock?
However long it takes it is it isn't 6 months. ;)

I think its one of those things that looks cool the first time you see it, then when everyone has it, you are less impressed. I didn't go for the McSwirly look on my McMillans, but I do have a couple of fluted barrels that will be replaced with non-fluted when the time comes.
