mcmillan Stocks

All my McMillan stocks are coming in at 2.5 - 3 months these days. Not 6 months or more like is being posted. It's been maybe 3 years since it was 6 months. I don't understand the misinformation being posted here. You have to remember that McMillan supplies stocks to very large industries and not just customers calling in special orders. They don't just make stocks either. Have a good look at their site and you will see the diversity of the company. Posting here say only passes on wrong info that spreads. McMillan stands behind their product 100% and customer service is second to none. That's the truth and not just because I'm in the business.

What he said:p Now that wallbanger sells the stock with Mr Cross's hardware, (didn't two years ago) the only hardware worth a damn, IMHO, I have to f**k with the saddle bolts on my Timberwolf after every three to four shots. My next A5 will be from John aka Wallbanger.

Yeah well the problem with Roberston, is they aren't taking any orders right now, and haven't been since before Christmas. I know McMillan wait times are long, but not even taking orders is insanity and frankly unacceptable in the business world. If you are that far behind, and that successful, you order more equipment, and train more staff, you don't just throw your hands up in the air. I know the page says they are doing that, but they have been saying the same things for months. It's a great product, just don't expect to be able to get one made for you anytime soon.

And the other problem is it is difficult to figure out what it is that you are ordering. If I order a manners, HS, Mcmillian, etc there are pics of the variants all over the interweb. Chances are I can try them at the local range as well. Though I would like to order Canadian, I have no idea what the various stocks even look like before I order.

Ian is doing what he thinks is right for his business and his customers.

The trick with growing a small business is keeping quality where it belongs as well as increasing production all the while managing everybodys expectations...Not easy!
I'm sure the new Robertson Composites will be worth the wait.

McMillan takes a different approach.....You get your stock when you get it.
Oh, they have the polite service staff that makes you feel good as they take your money, but I have waited as much as 7 1/2 months for an A-5.
I find it strange that you consider this good customer service.

I wonder how long it takes to get a Robertson stock?
However long it takes it is it isn't 6 months. ;)

Well considering you haven't been able to even ORDER one in 4 months now, not sure how you come up with it isn't 6 months because by the time anyone could even order one, it's gonna be at least 6 months before one arrives.

I am a small business owner, and quite frankly I could never imagine shutting down orders because I haven't been doing my part on the business end and getting new equipment and new staff. Quality has never been a problem either when expanding for me, because it's all in the training...if you train people properly, and pick your staff well, quality is going to be there.

I don't recall saying McMillan was great customer service either, but the only reason I wouldn't say that is I've never had to call them, for anything...what I said was you can get just about anything inlet for anything, including left handed...Robertson wouldn't even inlet for left handed savage actions the last time I talked to them...

That being said, I do believe they make a good product, otherwise I wouldn't have been calling them about ordering, but good luck getting one.

Remove the bolts and replace the with 4 set screws. Problem solved.

That's what I did.
