Buyer beware..there is Mcmillan salesman here on Gunnutz posing as a Canadian company..but in actuality his business is in the U.S.
I ordered a stock from him this winter with a $100 deposit, it was finally finished last week.
I was told to pay him and he would have Mcmillan would ship direct to me. That does not work for me as I don't want to be on the hook..if something goes wrong at the border.
So now he won't get me the stock I ordered..and is keeping my deposit till it sells...and stopped answering my emails...
Does any other Canadian company sell "gun related" products they don't receive at their business and then ship from there?
What is the purpose of using a business that does not import "gun related" products, then re-distribute?

I am sure he will chime in and explain....

Vinzer sports does this with NcStar products. You pay to Vinzer (they are in Quebec) and they ship directly from NcStar warehouse in California. So far - quick delivery, no problems with customs. From Cali they ship even faster than shipping inside Canada.

No... I want it brought into Canada by the company posing as a Canadian Company...I can call Mcmillan myself and order it if I wanted to go that route..
I am trying to be legit..Is that okay with you Chuck????

P.S I have enough money to buy what I want when I want..

You have nothing to worry about. Mcm stocks get through no problem as thay have everything in order on their end. I've dealt with the individual (that I think you're talking about) and have nothing but good things to say about him. I'm sure he would take care of you if the stock didn't get across so you wouldn't be on the hook, but at the same time, if I were a business owner on the hook for a custom order from the manufacturer, I don't know if I would be in a rush to refund your deposit just because you didn't trust his word that it would make it to you.

You are legit. Is that so difficult to figure out?

Al Gore invented drop ship that day after he invented the internet.

Take your B.S attitude and find another thread ..your pissing me off..

"Pot, this is Kettle, you're black. Over."

Mcmillan has shipped a couple stocks to me directly from the states so I am not sure how this is not 'legit', and I am not sure everyone here understands your dilemma (I know I don't).

If you are upset that they use 'drop shipping' then maybe tell the dealer that you would prefer it to be shipped to him first although this is really a common form of transaction nowadays.

No neck has a legit beef, the deal was misrepresented, and there is no excuse for that, period, but I gotta watch what i say as I'm leading the infractions race and I'm not from BC.

Well the only folks that would stop it would be CBP, and I doubt they have the people to check the 1,000,000 or so packages that leave the US everyday. CBSA will have no issues.
Buddy who took your order is GTG, BTW he probably has faster and better acess to McMillan than "joe blow" who calls and orders, never mind the cost savings.

Take a "time out" and get your stock, and enjoy the McMillan "koolaid" its worth the wait.

There is no need for me to chime in here but I will. This has always been between me and a certain person. There has been no misrepresentation of any kind on this order or any other. Do you think a business would last if someone posed as someone they were not? This is my living, I wouldn't risk that and neither would you guys.
Before I order any stock for anyone, the customer knows exactly what the process is. Ordering through me saves the customer some money over McMillan's retail. All my customers know at time of order, on special orders you receive the stock or stocks by a direct shipment from McMillan when complete. That saves me money that I pass onto the customer. When the stocks are complete, I contact the customer that a bill is due and when paid the stock will be shipped by McMillan. Again, everyone knows this before they order and they can choose to do so or not. Order any merchandise from the US and you will see that there is nothing shipped until paid. Is this abnormal? I think this is the norm.
I will not fight with anyone on here. Something started a long time ago and I have decided that I just don't want to deal with certain people that turn a simple understood business transaction into WW3 everytime the bill comes due. It's as simple as that. I've not posed as anyone I am not and enough of you fellas have been customers and know that I've done you right. Please PM any other questions as I think this was brought out to try and hurt me but I don't need to justify myself on here for a few people that like to fight on these forums. Thanks to all you guys that have supported me all these years.

Sounds like some people have never heard of "drop shipping?"

It's a common practice and saves the consumer money in the end. I don't know what the big deal about drop shipping is......
