I am not sure if this is a repost or a double post, or already known on CGN. If it is, will the mods please delete? :)

I was at the Canadian Tire on McPhillips today and ended up speaking with the Manager of their Sporting Goods department. Turns out, she has thrown the log book away and no longer records any information from people purchasing firearms. All you need is a valid PAL. Peace at last, eh?

This manager, who is very knowledgeable, seems to love her milsurp items and as such:

They have a few K31's with nice walnut stocks coming in next Wednesday for $299.99 (one currently on the shelf, at least twenty more coming).

They also have RC K98's with the Swastika's still on them in good condition. All matching numbers, but most likely force matched. Couldn't tell if they still had the front sight hood on them or not.

Mosin Nagants are $174.99 and look to be in very good condition.

They also have more SVT-40's coming as well as replacement magazines for them, the ever popular SKS and the standard firearms that all Canadian Tires seem to have these days.

They currently have four SKS crates on the floor for $49.99 each. One that holds 15 and 3 more that hold 10. I already grabbed the fifth one that was sitting there. All the women that saw myself with it, seemed to want to know where they were and what was in them.

They will be getting more and more of these in as they sell.

Just thought I would share. As I said before, if this has already been posted, please delete. :dancingbanana:

I never thought CanTire would be back in the game of selling firearms, never mind milsurps! Good sign for the sport that some chain stores are getting back into the supply chain.

I was in the neighbourhood last week and poked my head in. Looks like maybe some decent stuff, lots of SKS's. The Kenaston store has a fair selection too, not as many milsurps though, plus the kid working the counter there didn't even seem to know which end of the gun was the dangerous one.

Never ever thought I'd see our CT firearm cases going back in either.

geeze I didn't even know about these two stores carrying guns...

More of an update on what's going on there over anything else. It's common knowledge that most of them are getting into this, I am just surprised at how deep this one in particular is is diving in. Given how the one on in the White Ridge/Linden Woods area operates, McPhillips is awesome.

Still, buying rifles from a site sponsor and waiting in anticipation for to arrive is more fun. A little less hands on, but getting packages in the mail is something to mark on your calender and look forward to it like a kid on Christmas morning. :)

Your Cambodia Tire carries milsurps and mine is lucky if it has 170 and 150 gr 30-30 ammo in stock.......

I need to move.

The one off Montrose in Niagara Falls carries firearms, including a selection of SKS's and the one in Welland is now carrying a small selection too of hunting rifles and shotguns.
