So I just got my gen 2 rings from MDT in the mail. Upon opening the box I was blown away by all the new features and improvements over the gen 1 rings. The machine work and coatings are excellent, they have a built in bubble level, they ditched the 2 Allen head bolts for a single beefy mount bolt, and switched to torx for the ring cap bolts. They are more profiled and less boxy than the old ones, witness marks on the caps and bases. I couldn't be happier with them, I'll get them mounted up and post installed pics later tonight.
