First off I must say MDT offered excellent service good communications and was a pleasure to deal with.

Second off has anyone used these. I bought one with no real field knowledge for my 300 whisper project.

What do you think of the LSS. ?

Thanks

I think the LSS is better then the TAC21 in many ways
And it is now my number one grab and go truck/bush gun in 223

While I don't own one, I think it would be a good choice if you were considering a short barreled rifle. It would be very handy, compact, and relatively light weight.

If MDT gets around to offering one for a Howa 1500/Weatherby Vanguard action, they'll make a sale to me.

I put my SPS Tactical with 20in barrel , CTR buttstock with a 1/4 in riser then went to a 3/4 in riser .
I really mine and it was a good deal as well when you think of the cost of converting to a detachable magazine .

Are these compatible with the new savage trigger guard bolt release? I have one of the 10 TR LEO on order and I think it would be sweet in this chassis.

Experimenting, I've assembled mine with two different barrelled actions. First, with a 20" .223 LTR barrel, second with a 22" .243 sporting weight barrel. Two entirely different rifles!

I am going with the 16.5 inch. Hoping not to shorts guys. ? With a break will add. 1-2 inches.

300 aac has a pretty heavy contour so should look beefy short. ?

It's a standard Remington varmint contour is it not? Shouldn't be too heavy at 16.5".

I'm very happy with mine. I went with a 26" heavy barrel on my Savage build, and the stock does a great job at offsetting the weight (obviously a little unbalanced, but not an issue for my uses). Fit and finish is great, very happy with the product overall. I'm considering doing another one in a short/lightweight package.

I like mine. Perfect with the 16.5" AAC

I put one onto a Rem 700 with an 18" 260 barrel for my 11 year old son. Bonus is that in the short version it fits him, and when I stretch it out, dad can use it to. Looking to swap out the Choate on my 223 to make a more compact coyote rig.
