MDT LSS chassis with Savage SA

the rear tang of the action receiver suppose to be floating
i had to grind the chassis under the tang a lot to free float the tang

for those who have the same components, did you had to do the same ?

Hmm I never really looked. But my accuracy did seem to decrease compared to the accustock. I’ll have to look at this.

Some people say the tang should be floating, but others say it doesnt have to.

On the Savage SA (10/11/12/16) the rear tang shouldn't be touching the chassis, it is a VERY close fit and might look like it's touching when it's not. If by chance that it is touching, contact us and we can look into replacing the chassis for you.

Did you have hand loads dialed in for the Accustock or were you using off the shelf ammo?

how to check if it is touching? how close of a fit is it?
