Hey guys. so about 6 months ago I got my gf and I a glock 17 gen 4. She doesnt like it and neither do I. Stock, neither were happy. It now has a new ejector phanton adjustable trigger, new ghost ring trijicon sights, zev v4 connector new recoil spring, magazine baseplates, lettering colored and more work into it. I have tried to make this gun work for us, yet its still the useless gun that just sits there. Only has about 300 rounds down the pipe. Still have all the original parts and more. What do you guys think this gun could sell for? spent about 1.3 grand into it.

Onto the second part of this discussion.

I am considering buying either a Jericho 941 in 45acp or 9mm or the beretta PX4 storm.
Does anyone have any inputs on these 2 guns?
Also do you think anyone would want to trade their px4 storm or Jericho for my glock? or should i sell first then buy a new one?

just the way it shoots and holds in my hands. the feel of the trigger. M&P apex works better for me and my gf. gf doesnt like the snapiness of it. she even preferes my M&P 40 over it. plus i just dont find it fun overall. therefore it must go. also i just lost interest and appeal overall in the glock

Sell the more expensive upgrades by themselves and put the gun back to as stock as you can. That's probably the best way to recover as much of your outlay as you can expect to.

Some people get put off by home-smithed guns.

Though with the glock being so dead simple to work on I'm not sure if it applies to them as well...

I hope this doesn't turn into a Glock bashing thread. My advice would be to find peeps who own the guns you want to buy and shoot them as much as you can. This is the fundamental problem with buying pistols in Canada...you end up buying a pistol, untried etc....and you're not happy with the purchase. Alternatively, if you are anywhere near the US border, consider going to a range and trying out different models. There are pros and cons to every pistol of course and it really boils down to how it feels in both your hands. My hand is medium sized and the adjustable backstraps of the gen 4 were a nice option. Personally, I learned a lot from owning a Glock. My buddy preferred it more than I did so I sold it to him. Good luck in your quest.

It sounds to me like you're fishing for offers and trades outside of EE. Hoping for a quick PM before the mods lock the thread?

I'm waiting for TDC's response on this.....

If there's something strange, and the glocks no good,
Who you gonna call? TDC!!!
If your shooting high, and out to the left,
Who you gonna call? TDC!!!

Its you're not your.

I agree with the above. Remove the aftermarket junk and sell it separate from a stock glock. New Gen4 can be had for a hair under $700 with little effort in searching. Price it accordingly.
