Turns out after the cie was bought and parted out by Winchester, the new owner went into shotguns

Always thought the root gave the strongest and nicest grain appearance not the heart wood

Also dont think ive heard the term lame for Damascus. I've heard of lines referencing the number of layers

I'd guess they met lamé (from the French lamelle, layers) but their printer didn't have the type "é"

I'm used to seeing stocks of
- American walnut
- French walnut
- Turkish walnut

But I'd be curious to see their offering for Italian and Persian walnut?
