As I was scrolling some French website (looking for that perfect SxS for grouse)... I stumbled on that Darne modèle C (or Rotary)
- The stock and barrel stay fix, while the breach-trigger rotate for loading.

So many guns, so little $

Indeed a unique and different system than we are used to seeing on a shotgun. I don't have one like that but I have an R10 that I love for upland. Nice and light and fits me beautifully. But they aren't for everyone.

darne it is funny never heard that name for many years. we had a friend that used one for woodcock in brittany and was happy but his father had issues with another model but seems a great unique design, france had a lot of builders in the past whith high quality and great companionship training. i do not know now has i been away for over 16 years now.

I never knew that Darne made a rotating action. Very cool. I have had a chance to hunt with a beautiful little Darne 16 ga. in the more typical sliding breech configuration. They are finely made guns.
