Measuring for front sight insert

I'm looking for a front sight blade for a rebarrelled Tokarev SVT. The gun has been rebarrelled into a 303 British by Globe Arms. The sight ramp has the dovetail in it that holds the blade. How do I measure the dovetail to find a replacment blade

Before you do anything have the headspace checked. Those rifles are notorious for having bad headspace. They were converted when 7.62 x 54R was unavailable in North America. Globe didn't worry too much about whether or not the rifle was safe to shoot. If the headspace is bad, fixing it takes a smithy.
Then just measure the bottom of the dovetail, it's depth and width. Just don't waste you time until you know the headspace is ok.
