Well, a couple of friends and myself went out for the night "bite" just to see if anything was moving this evening. Spotted a couple of nice Black bears in the Blueberry patches, and then a fat doe just wandering around. On closer examination, we found that the doe had a couple of companions, one of which was a nice fat forkhorn. A bit of overkill, but my 308 Norma Mag did the job quickly [180 Accubond @ 3125] Shot was about 125 yards, broadside through the lungs. Exit was about Toonie size....no lungs left. Will be looking forward to a couple of chops and some nice yummy sausage.. Good start to the season, first time out. Regards, Eagleye.
