The thing I really like about this show is that is isn't just pure success. I mean, he captures hunting like many of us experience rather than most other hunting shows that make it look like you can walk out there and pop an animal in 15 minutes.
He fails sometimes, either at stalking, or just plain gets skunked. That is hunting, not what most other shows portray. This is why I like it. It captures true hunting. 99% is freezing, walking, sitting, getting wet, being uncomfortable, glassing, hiking, etc. The kill is a tiny portion that is the sum of a lot of work. I like that he shows all of that and not just the end game. This is the show that I like non-hunters to watch as it shows the work that goes into it. My wife doesn't like hunting but she actually enjoys this show.
