Mec 600 Jr. Value?

Hello Everyone,
I have no idea about reloading, but would like to get started. Anyhow, my friend said that her husband has a Mec 600 Jr. that he no longer uses and asked if I wanted it. Can anyone tell me about it? Including approximate value, if I should grab it, etc. Thanks to all you knowledgable nutz.

I still use my MEC 600 for .410, I've been using it for over 20 years. The higher the price of shotshells, the more I save.

Definitely grab it. If you need replacement parts MEC ships to Canada and their service is top notch. If you are also going to reload shotguns I'd suggest a good balance scale as the bushing charts are not accurate and the Lyman Shotshell Reloading Guide which has step-by-step instructions on how to use the MEC and lots of good recipes.
 
X2 scale and reloading book. Bushing charts are sometimes way off. Use recipes exactly if you cherish your shotgun and fingers. Don't substitute different hulls, primers, wads. It can be expensive to buy extra shot bars, bushings, steel shot handling kits. Advantage is you can make specialty and light recoil ctg as required.
