Hi everyone. I'm jumping the gun here, so to speak. I haven't received my pal yet, but I came across a deal on a few old MEC reloaders, and I couldn't resist. One press is an old 650, seller said probably was bought in 1979. It's dirty, but in reasonable condition. I've looked it over, and it's missing one small part; the "operating rod" (Part # 1008055CA). The MEC site sells them for 10 bucks, but then there's tax, shipping, and the USD conversion, for what is basically a threaded rod with a 90 degree bend on one end. So, what I'm asking, is there anyone with one of these machines who can measure this part for me? Length, diameter, etc. I can easily make my own and save the 10-20 it would cost to have one shipped. Pictures of the part on the machine would help too.
And maybe it's a long shot, but if someone was local to southern ontario and has a spare one of these, maybe we could work something out.
Can't wait to be able to use this thing!
Cheers,
Matt
