I'm on the hunt for a second single stage press, and I am considering the MEC Marksman. It seems to get good reviews, and it's been on the market long enough that it's not a flash in the pan.

What are your opinions? It's a toss-up between this and a Rock Chucker for me.

Its on my list too - all the reviews I've seen have been pretty good.

Ever check out panhandle precision - he has a thorough review - https ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2uPkqkMp-0

Got a note from x-reload that it was back in stock yesterday, but when I went to order this morning, sold out again, just my luck.

I have one and really like it. I load all my ammo on it for fclass and prs. I got mine from Hummason they had the best price when I bought mine.

Was looking pretty seriously at the MEC recently, but ended up going a different direction. There was a lightly used one on the EE for 230-> 200 a few weeks back, and I was sorely tempted...

Brownell's had them for 189 US, which still worked out pretty well after exchange and shipping, compared to new prices I saw up here.

Never saw a bad review of the MEC, if that helps.

Just saw another review after 2 years use:

I reached out to Hummason & they still have the best price, just waiting on stock - 1 to 2 weeks according to the Brian.

Since RockChucker is in your sights, what do you currently have?
Unless there are glaring deficiencies in your current press, what are you looking at to improve.
I have two RockChuckers and they have what is in my comfort level.

I have one. I can’t speak to how it compares to some other premium options, but it seems well made. Very solid. Beats the hell out of the RCBS Partner I had been using to rattling aluminum linkage.

I swapped in a Hornady lock and load bushing systems which is a nice feature.
