I picked up an older MEC Sizemaster from a friend awhile back, it needed a couple small parts, I picked them up in Ancaster and gave it a try. I have loaded shot shells before, a MEC Junior back in the 80's, so I have a pretty good idea on reloading, but just because, I downloaded the manual from the MEC website. I was having problems with the final crimp, tried everything from the manual, checked on-line, watched the YouTube videos but I still couldn't get it right.
So the other day I gave MEC a call and spoke with their Tech Support. A few minutes on the phone, I took a few pictures and e-mailed them to the fellow I was talking to, he helped me out with the basic settings, from there a bit of fine tuning and now I have a functional press with an excellent crimp. Excellent product support especially considering it was an old press that I didn't buy from them. Many companies don't like to even provide support for a brand new product that you just purchased but these guys stand behind their product even years after they built it! Can't beat that!
