MecGar mags not great

My megars for my 1911 had pretty stiff springs when purchased and did not work all that great. I loaded them up left them compressed eventually they were usable. I have had for a couple of years now and have not had an issue with the meggar mags and I shoot about 4-5 thousand rounds per year.

I would be inclined to think that the problem is with your Norinco, not the mags. Mec-Gar makes OEM mags for many major gunmakers and their quality is generally top-notch. The "factory" mags that came with my Hi-Power were made by Mec-Gar and they are the smoothest, best constructed mags I've ever owned.

Agreed. I use MecGar's in my 1911's and Sig P220. Never an issue. Are you able to try these magazines in a real P228?

NEVERMIND

It was just one of the two MecGar mags I ordered, one of them doesn't feed properly. The other one is flawless, smooth and gorgeous.
