Hello, want to start dabbling in some long range shooting. Currently have a custom .30-06 hunting rifle capable of 3/4 moa so will likely be using this for the time being until I get some practice and decide on a build for a dedicated target rifle. Would like to be able to practice at a max of about 600 yards with it and will need adjustable moa turrets and would like to keep it less than a 50mm objective price range would hopefully be max 1300$. Thanks for the input.

I'd recommend a Vortex HS T, 4x16x44mm, I being looking a these a lately based on good reviews and warranty. I seen a couple at the store and the seem like a Vortex PST second focal plane without illumination. They sell for around $800.

Also I've used Leupold Mark 4's and Vx3 scopes they worked great. Mine were 3.5x10 power and I could hit targets out to 500 yards, I think a little more magnification would help at these distances. I think a maybe a 14x or 16x would be fun to try. Probably sell for $600-$1200.

I have a nightforce 2.5x10x32 on a custom 260 hunting rifle and it does exactly what you're looking for. I believe it was around $1500 for the zero stop model. I know it's a little over the budget but I love the scope. I regularly shoot 12'' plates at 900 yards and a 18'' x 30'' plate out to 1100 yards. Rock solid adjustments, low profile, great reticle choices and illumination.
