After the 3 Gun Match there is going to be a Charity 50/50 Bowling Pin Shoot. This is a bowling bin shoot where competitors are required to knock 5 bowling pins off of a table. Bowling pins must be knocked off the table to score. Bowling pins knocked over that remain on the table do not score.

All firearms are limited to 6 rounds. Competitors may reload as many times as they want but only 6 rounds may be loaded at any one time.

There are no classes or divisions. All competitors will shoot against each other regardless of type of firearm or calibre. Competitors will start with their firearm loaded in the low ready position. Shooting distance will be 10m. Score is based on the fastest time. In the event of a tie, a shoot-off will determine the winner.

Entry fee $5.00. Competitors may compete more than once, however each attempt will cost $5.00.

The winner will receive 50% of the entry fee. The remaining 50% will be donated to the Medicine Hat Food Bank.

Wow. Sounds like fun. 10m. That's out there for bowling pins. The further out you are the longer it takes to run a competitor through. Back in the day, I'm pretty sure we were closer, maybe 7m. Pins are about the most fun of the shooting sports. Falling steel is a blast also. Sounds like a nice club.

Today's 3 gun match was fantastic!!! I'm really happy/proud of our club investing the money into the new targets and the electronic scoring setup on the IPads . The auto reset poppers sure help a lot with resetting the stage for the next shooter. I was able to take a printed copy of the match results home with me at the end of the day and I had the results emailed to me before I left as well. Very cool. I can't wait for the next match!!!

A few hick ups with the match but overall it was a good day. I would like to thank all the volunteers that helped set up and tear down. Lawrence, Terry, and Nathan for being RO's. Chris for sorting out the electronic scoring. Victoria for taking care of registration and for saving my ass by having paper score sheets on hand.

Thanks to all the shooters that came out and congratulations to Nick for top score. I am already looking forward to Septembers match.

Special thanks to Jamey T. Top time of 6.34 seconds on the charity bowling pin shoot. The shoot was a 50/50 shoot to support the Medicine Hat Food Bank and Jamey was kind enough to donate his winnings back to the food bank.
