In you guys opinion, what company makes good medium end rifle scopes?
Looking into a compact scope (1~4x) for my .223
Nightforce, S&B being higher end but I dont really want to spend that much for my .223
What dollar price range constitutes medium end to you? To me,the bushnell elites, the burris ffII's,the redfields, leupold vx1 and 2's nikon monarch. etc ..All good glass imo.
you should really check out "Falcon" scopes. Frontier Firearms have a great selection. These bad boys are made in europe and used for competition over there. also they are FFP scopes which is a must with variable power scopes if you would also like to use them to range. here is a link for the website:
that sounds like exactly what you are looking for. Those scoped are durable and can take you out to about 600yds no problem. Unfortunately Frontier only has the illuminated reticle so don't forget extra batteries and to turn it off after use.....speaking from experience. lol
OP, there will be lots of opinion here, mostly on what is considered medium end. Some might consider a $1000 scope to be high end, some might consider it to be medium or low...

i have a bushnell 6500-series that's a 1.25-8x30, so it's quite compact and very bright. it's on my Rem 597 rimfire, so it's vastly underutilized. it'll go on the EE soon.
