Medved-3 is no-no also?

Please don't kick me hard I just want to make it clear for myself. Medved shares the design ideas with SVD but I believe none of the parts interchangeable. Bolt most likely the same as Tigr in 308 but basically nothing else. Tigr is a civilian version of SVD but Medved is quite far from it, and it's definitely not a variant of AK and it's not listed as prohib. Pictures to compare:

shows calibers as .308 win and 7.62X54R
Legal calssification: Non-restricted
barrel length 551mm

Seems good to go...

96375-1 is the 7.62x54r version
96375-2 is the .308 win version

Izhmash makes them on special request in small quantities. I will find out how long is a wait time. The downside is that the 308 is actually russian 308; same dimentions but underpowered. Anyway worth to try to get some in.

If they only make them in limited, on-order runs, I'm guessing these have to be at least $6-10k each. Still...anything that streams into Canada as an unrestricted is a win in my books.

Yes, nice box 9x53R.

9x53 is the most comon caliber in early Medved versions. Medved-3 is mostly 7.62x51 Russian (under powered 308).
