Hey im new to this site as well as shooting. i Took my pal and scored well on but because there was a problem with one of my references im still waiting for my pal to come in the mail, i don't have any firearms yet, i'm trying to figure out what i would want and wht would suite me best. for my first firearm i would want it to be a good short, small easy to carry around rifle, i was thinking the dominion arms grizzly, but then i thought to myself, if i wanted to shoot some clay's or targets or something that i would like a longer shotgun, then i thought maybe a mossberg or remington. then i thought if i'm going to go with a long gun i might as well make it a rifle, and i thought well if im going to make it a rifle it might as well be a damn decent one that i can use it for everything, including long range shooting, so then i was thinking 300 win or 308 ( because its fun )( i found a damn decent rifle i was ready and willing to buy and i said the day my pal comes im going to buy it , came with a bipod and a factory-mounted and bore sighted 4-16x50mm variable scope with sunshade.. came in a 308win with interchangable barrels picanninny rails, sling and gun lock for only $500,.. but it was a short action and i heard it chews up your barrels so that to me was a no no otherwise i would jump all over it, i've seen a pic of it too and it looks super ###y, what do you think>??? ?? i could use lots of info on that ) but realistically i was thinking about a .260 because its cheaper on ammo and could do the same job... Then i heard .260 has brass issues so i heard better make it a .243 which now i know nothing about, and i may have put every damn firearm down on my xmas wish list.. so if someone could take me out and show me the difference between all these guns and prices and info that would be damn swell. right now im staying in new west until july 5th then probably moving back to aldergrove or chilliwack. i have no problem travelling and i've got a pretty decent 4x4 so i have no problems meeting up in the woods somewheres. give me a shout if you think you can help, thanks
