Responding several months later - but have you checked out Toronto International Rifle and Pistol Club in Innisfil?I'm in the Mississauga area. RPAL holder, but unfortunately no HGs to my name. Considering joining a club that does loaners, but also interested in long range and clay shooting. I plan to do some duck hunting, so clay is the more practical, but I also enjoyed target shooting with the hang guns a lot in my younger years. I have some serious regrets from not staying active in my knowledge and not getting in before the freeze despite having my RPAL since 2006. Anyway, any recommendations on a club that offers all around options? No problem for me to drive a couple hours to go to a place that I can spend the whole day at.
The Burlington Rifle and Revolver Club is an option. But they require an RPAL for membership.Hey anyone know private or public areas/clubs to shoot plinkers at 50-100 feet? around Burlington Ontario. So much land but so much by-laws and club waiting lists are forever and charge you. I want to shoot my 223 in peace with my own targets if possible. I also don't have RPAL and don't really want it right now. Do I have any options?
Urban Tactical in Brantford, that is close.Hey anyone know private or public areas/clubs to shoot plinkers at 50-100 feet? around Burlington Ontario. I'm in the same boat. I got my RPAL in September 2025. I'm in Vaughan. I have 3 guns but no where to shoot them lol. I have buddies who go grouse hunting when the season is open. I went a few times with them last year after getting my RPAL, but other than that I haven't been able to fire any of my guns.Hi there, my name is Joshawa and looking for any mentors in the York Region area to help a newbie like myself get started in the sport. Able to advise on gun clubs, starter guns, etc
Are you close enough to Target Sports? They seem reasonable if you don't want to go too far out.I'm in the same boat. I got my RPAL in September 2025. I'm in Vaughan. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll contact them. They're only 30 minutes from me.Are you close enough to Target Sports? They seem reasonable if you don't want to go too far out.

Pineridge gets my vote. Hunted there many years ago. Great preserve. Pheasants are fun to hunt, great to eat. Bust down with a dog. I hope others can see my reply or feel free to use it as an endorsement.PINERIDGE HUNTING PRESERVE. Year round hunting. Pheasant and Chukars. Public daily hunting. Yearly membership also available. Located 75km northeast of Toronto
Let us be apart of your hunting traditions. We offer the bird hunter a stocked preserve, i.e. pheasants, chukars and quail. For you and your K-9's enjoyment. By appointment only. Kirkfield, ON (705) 438-1811</B>
There are some ruffed grouse and woodcock (for those who like to shoot a lot and miss a lot) as well as wild turkey in the Simcoe County forests. OFAH membership is mandatory to hunt the forests. Some have other restrictions. There's a ton of hunter friendly land in these tracts that are reasonably accessible from the GTA. Have fun! What about Grouse or Partirdge or stuff like that? Doesn't the season start on the 15 for most of Ontario? I would be interested in that also. I am pretty much up for anything because I haven't done any hunting at all.
thanksOK, looks like the Toronto/GTA folks will have to work as a team here.
I think if we collectively bring our heads together we should be able to spend very exciting Saturdays! (for a start).
I am not sure how to start, but I guess we can ask the moderator to create a GTA forum (yes/no?).
I don't have the ability to create new forum headings myself, but I will ask Sparhawk to do so. I suspected that ON might need to be broken down further.

I am also good if anyone wants to meet over coffee to make some plans.
Have you heard of the OFAH hunter/farmer connection? brand new, I think I posted the first ad, but worth checking out

you gotta be an OFAH member though.
They just told me that it's a 2 years wait.Responding several months later - but have you checked out Toronto International Rifle and Pistol Club in Innisfil?
I’m a new member there, and it’s been a great experience so far. All new members have to complete six sign-off shoots with instructors, and as a part of that process they have us qualify with handguns and rifles. Bring your own ammo of course, but it’s been great getting some practice time in with Beretta 92FS’s, Glocks and J-Frame revolvers as a new RPAL holder.
Bundled with joining TIRPC is the Trap and Skeet Club on the same property as well. Excited to get into that this spring in prep for some waterfowl shooting next fall.
Waitlist to join was right around 6-months, so not bad for the GTA.
