Someone farther up this thread referred to Istanbul as Constantinople which is what it was called prior to 1453. I was making a joke of it.

well if they said that this was a new design, not derived, or based upon, or what ever the else that could associate this as a M16 or Ar15 or HK416 on the paperwork and the internals is close to the 416 (with some different design so regular M16 parts can't fit) then there is a slight chance that this be classified as a new rifle, made and designed completely from the ground up


and made in Turkey should bring the price down some what
