For a menu idea, how about Jambalaya. I have made it for our moose camp and the guys loved it. It's a one pot meal. Great for a cold day. Make it ahead and freeze in a ziplock.
I use the Zatarains mix available at the grocery store. It's in the rice section.

I would say this would be good for 4 or 5 guys so double it if need be.
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 can (14 1/2 ounces) fire roasted or regular diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup water
1 package ZATARAIN'S® Jambalaya Mix, Original
1 pound frozen cooked cocktail shrimp, you know the pink ones that you pull the tails off
1 package of smoked sausage. It's already cooked, so just reheating, use regular or spicy according to your tastes. Cut into 1/4-inch slices, figure on a least one sausage per guy
In a large pot or dutch oven, heat oil and sautee chopped onion and green pepper for about 2 minutes.
Add sliced sausgage and continue frying another 2 minutes.
Add can of diced tomatoes and about a cup of water.
Add box of Zatarain Jambalaya mix. It has rice and spices in it.
Bring to a boil and then turn down and simmer for about 20 minutes. Stir occasionally and keep an eye on it and add water if necessary
You can eat it right away or allow to cool, put in ziplock bags and freeze. I think, like chili it is better reheated. You can add some buttermilk bisquits or cornbread on the side.
