Looking for Goex fffg or pyrodex ctg, but if you can suggest a substitute, that'd work too. Where's the best place to buy?

Looking to load 42 Russian for a berdan 2. I now have most of the supplies, about ready to cast the bullets, but have no powder to put in the cases.

If anyone (except sunray :p) has other pertinent info to contribute, I'd be grateful.

Also try your local buckskinner (mounation man reenactor) association, usually at least one member has a reseller license and sells from his basement.

There is a place in Hamilton that sells it bulk. Too bad the guy in St Catherines doesn't as his prices were good. PM me and I will get you the details as the name of the place escapes me right now, they also make lead shot too.

Nearest Cabelas is in Barrie and I'm in Ottawa, so no go on that. But thanks for the ideas on talking to re-enactors, we have cowboy shooting at my range so I have people to pester :)

Waiting to see how much Rusty Wood would (ha!) want for shipping - they do have it for an ok price... And that's an arm and a leg too, I wish SFRC had it in stock - their shipping is so reasonable :)

I'm starting to realize that for some bizarre reason SFRC doesn't charge the hazmat fee and shipping powder from anywhere else is painful :(

The store at the Stittsville range carries GOEX powder. I buy all my FFg there for my Great Plains sidelock and they also normally stock FFFg and FFFFg. I don't know about other types other than GOEX cartridge which they had never heard of. Pretty sure I've also seen Pyrodex of one type or another on the shelf in back.

If you're in Ottawa it isn't all that far to drive to Higginsons in VKH. I go there a couple of times per year on a Saturday morning from Montreal area.

Thanks LUTNIT and Goldenlakepete! Called them and they have it :) Never been to the Stittsville range so I guess it's time for me to have a look... Might as well check out the hunting/fishing store too. I kinda forgot that that side of the city even exists ;)

Higginson's is not _that_ far (100 k or so) and was going to be my last resort if I coudn't find anything closer or shipped reasonably. Would be worth it if I was looking for more than just a can...
