^ Interesting dark wood eh

I wanted the LMG from the beginning. Was actually less interested in the carbine. But the more I see the carbines, the more I'd love to have both. Lots of differences between the two. Wood furniture, front sight location, barrel contours.

I really hope the carbine comes with the contours for the grenade launching feature. If it doesn't, it would be cool to get a sleeve machined to slide over the barrel to replicate it, like a sa15.7 sleeve.

I have to agree, it would be awesome to see the LMG model in Canada. Hopefully the furniture is interchangeable, as I prefer the barrel contour and pinned sights on the LMG. It looks like the Norinco model has the VZ style safety, here's hoping thats what we see! Or even a DA model.. wink wink.. ;)

The Tactical Imports version is Polytech. Only one confirmed to date. Canam (Dominion Arms) is interested in bringing a version of their own. Marstar was a maybe, so they are likely the Norinco angle. If North Sylva decides to play I'd guess Emei like the Type 97.

Who is bringing them in?

Tactical Imports, again, is the only one confirmed to date.

Canada Ammo says they want to, but only Tactical Imports is listed on the frt as an importer. A dominion arms would be a seperate frt entry but wouldn't likely need a long winded frt exam.

Marstar hinted at interest. North sylva has been quiet.

Different brands, new parent frt entries. Not a big deal though, there are dozens of frt entries for the chinese m14 series.

There seems to be a bit of misinformation being stirred up. If TI is bringing in a Polytech version, where is everyone getting the Norinco model from? Searching FRT #160486 in Google pulls up articles referencing the Norinco version coming to Canada. ###, TvPressPass, Calibre Mag, etc. all seem to refer to a Norinco FRT.

Well having read the actual frt entry multiple times, and realizing people use norinco, Polytech, emei and dominion arm interchangeably, here is the clarification.

Tactical Imports is the importer. POLY TECHNOLOGIES is listed as the make. Chinese Factory Arsenals is the manufacture, but no specific factory is noted. Model is Type 81SA.

That is for the parent frt entry 160486.
