Mesa 870 stock adapter with M4 stock or magpul sga butt stock?

I prefer the Mesa, simply because I can use a folding adapter aswell. Mine is done up on a Mossberg, but you get the gist.

It's as good as you make it. Get something like a Magpul stock with Limbsaver pad and you're laughing. Super easy to install the adapter and then pick your favourite furniture.
 
I have both , but on Mossbergs , both are nice , the mesa for adjustabliaty, with the magpul not far behind , but , if I could only have one , it'd be the magpul .
The mesa on a mossberg, for me , I couldn't get a comfortable cheek weld with a bead sight , I end up putting ghost ring sights on it , it's probably different on a 870 .
If you do go mesa , get a crosshair recoil buffer tube and a limbsaver pad on a magpul CTR [mil spec] stock , like lerch641 said , it's very nice .
 
Another vote for the Mesa, I love mine. Adjustable on the fly quickly, add a limbsaver recoil pad and it makes 3” magnum slug loads feel like 2.75” standard 00 buck loads. It really takes the bite out of the recoil of a magnum load.
 
Got to run around 100 rounds of various slugs and buckshot through my 870 with Mesa setup including a limbsaver pad on my CTR stock. I have to say this is a way more pleasant setup than the Magpul SGA stock I had before. The handling was much improved and felt recoil much reduced. Going the MESA adapter route was a bit more expensive but it’s a far better setup in my opinion.
 
Well, finally got a stock. Ended up with the Magpul pretty much because that is all I could source locally. Gotta say it is a huge improvement over the factory stock, egro's are pretty decent and it manages recoil fantastic!
