I have the pleasure of getting a mesa recoil reducing stock on my 870P but the ring that's supposed to keep the recoil reducing tube in place keeps on coming loose.

Does anyone have a way of dealing with that?

is this the enedine unit?
if it is, its the cats arse:)

my castle nut always stayed tight, perhaps a little bit of blue loctite on the threads would help?

are you tightening it with a castle nut wrench?

yeah the castle nut... I don't have such a wrench...

i bought one from wolverine supply, and it looks like they brought it in from brownells, you should be able to order one up, they shouldn't be too pricey.

or you could check and see if there's any cgner's nearby who could lend you one.

if you don't get much reply's from here, i would check with the black rifle forum.

I just used a gentle application of pliers and foam padding so as not to dent or bend anything. Not perfect, but it stays in tight. Then I bubba'd it because the ring irritates the top of my hand when I hold the grip, so instead of locktite, I used duct tape to smooth the section over so the webbing of my hand between my thumb and index finger doesn't get scratched.

....but hey....I'm bubba like that... :)
