Metal Glock frames

From some of the pictures I saw on the site, the grip doesn't look all that comfortable. Interesting idea though...

At $350US just for the frame you getting awfully close to the price of a whole gun, although the metal frame looks nice. I can only wonder what the Titanium frame costs if they now consider it to be cost prohibitive? Yikes
dB:)

I was at the shotshow this year and asked the guys at CC frames to remove the slide so I could have a close look at the frame and they looked at me like I was on crack and flat out refused. I walked away vowing never to buy there product. What did they have to hide????????

Maybe they didn't even know how to disassemble the firearm. Just PR guys maybe?

No they did and so do I they were being complete dicks. I wanted to see what the internals looked like. I don't see any advantage to there product but was willing to give it a fair shake after looking at there internals but not after that...

Maybe there was no 'guts' to the gun and it was just set up for display purposes.....interesting idea but if I wanted a metal alloyed gun, I'd buy a metal alloyed gun.

Maybe they're worried about patent infringement. You might have been a Norinco SPY!

LOL I like that one....a pasty white guy....a double agent LOL

I was hoping they could prove that there product was better then the original by showing there "advancements" and "special features" instead I got treated like ####.

They have a "Glock" palm swell as well... but I agree, unless I see pics of the rails, etc. I would not be buying.

Why don't they show the rails on their site???
That's screwed up.

If they displayed everything I'd definitely consider getting one :)

They sound like dumfuks alright...how do they expect to sell a product they won't even show you?

Hmmm... thanks guys for the pics; I missed them. Very interesting :)

Now to see if Questar or someone is willing to bring these in for those who want them.

i hear some people say a heavier frame can reduce perceived recoil but i think it has more to do with the hight of bore axis than anything so i don't know, i bet its more of a novelty, comfort, preference thing.

the improved beavertail would be nice, as would the swapable backstraps. Not sure about the longer frame rails though. I'd like to play with one, the extra weight would be nice in .40 or .45 (if they make that one one day). but the extra weight might suck for quick drills and such.

I think having one would mostly be for a novelty too, the longer beavertail might be interesting and the grip angle would be interesting to try.

The weight difference between a Glock frame and this frame in aluminum is only about 4 ounces so I dont imagine the weight is going to make a huge difference. Now if you go with the stainless steel, its over a pound heavier than the Glock frame (glock is 3.6, stainless is 21) and that might be interesting to see....

It might appeal to those that have built Glock race guns for open division, and apparently USPSA has accepted it for several divisions. It also appears to be ok with IDPA for ESP, but not with the stainless frame.
