It is unlikely that anyone in Canada will be able to afford or even find enough rounds to wear out a trunnion.

I can't recall if there was any modification to the .50 trunnions to allow the protector plate, but the C5A1 had a corresponding area milled away to allow for the protector/cartridge stop plate.contact148 said:alot of guys in the us cant get thier guns to run with any wear plates installed

Other than the difficulty of loading cloth without a belt loader machine, cloth really is the way to go.
