What do you guy's think of the Maverick88 security,i am thinking of getting one to use while flyfishing

i would suggest that you DO NOT flyfish using a shotgun

Great gun, just make sure all the parts are there and it goes click in the store. I bought one and a piece in the trigger group was missing. Went to a gravel pit with it to shoot and nothing. Luckily there was another guy there with a 500 and I swapped out trigger groups and it shot great. Thats what I get for not making it go click in the store and figuring the store would never sell me something that didnt work.

It's a fine peice of hardware. It aint fancy but mine seems to be holding up well

i have the 88 in the long barrel feild form. same action, stock etc just different barrel. for $200 its pretty sweet.

Got one last year from SIR @ $200, added a Knoxx folder and voila' my "bear defence" gun.
No problems, goes "boom" every time.
