Mexican carry - what pistols are safe for this CCW method?

Chances are to legally carry, you will require a safe holster. If you're in a country where this is not a legal requirement, you're probably in a place where you can place the pistol in plain sight on the dash board, or just hold it openly in your hand.

You could always make a holster. I don't think you would have trouble finding thread anywhere in the world. You could use virtually any material at hand, linen, leather, nylon, whatever.
 
whereever there's a cobbler or someone that can make a boot , there's a holster maker-
the 1911 issue holster was both made out of leather, and right hand draw- most guys in country that were left handed acquired a spare pair of combat boots somewhere and had the local cobbler make one from those- and gave him the spare,usually for nothing or next to it, darned fine work, and b/c it was nylon, it didn't ROT- usually gave the rest of the boot to the cobbler, who was more than happy to get the soles as he could make great profit from them

when you ccw in wild places, like south america reason no to use holster, heat, tipe of clothes and the number 1, thugs if they know or see you carring a gun, they will first shot you, then take your gun , and not always face to face they will came at you from behind, so any funny bulges are a no no, and what to carry anything single doble action, the most comon are 38 357 in 2 or 32 380 in 4'' and less like beretta 84 13 shots, cz 83 13 shots, glock 25 15 shots or the new there baby glock 26 27 28 and 30 and what most and many people do its , ,,,,,,they grave a square piece of fabric a round 3 inches bigger bigger then you gun and positioned in the center and then put the gun with the fold piece of fabric, between you pants and waist then just fold excess of fabric, and that gun dont go no where and the sweet dont bothered you . thats a venezuelan carry and down there we carry or risk to be kill like a dog. live can be sad
 
here's a wild thought. why don't you crybabies take an empty gun............. and carry it mexican style around your house for a few days with it cocked and locked but empty, and see if if accidentally goes click while you do some testing. this way you can form a real life opinion instead of taking advice from other people who have never carried a gun.

i know. i know. that's crazy and retarded. but if you really think it might happen........this might be a good opportunity to make sure you will blow your junk off or not in a nice safe controlled environment.

there are some "professionals" out there who have carried mexican in other countries due to lack of holsters, and coupled with the fact that if you have to ditch the gun, an empty holster asks alot of questions.

The bigest reason for not putting the pistol in your belt just over your ass is if you fall on your back the pistol could cause drastic spinal issues!

But that is the great thing about the 1911 it's slim enough to put in your belt on your left hip and you are good to go!

I like the Mexicain carry also!

i think i would try and make an iwb holster out of duct tape kinda makes sense to use the handymans secret weapon to secure your secret weapon
