Some bring some home depending on the legalities. Most are cleaned and handed out to the locals.

Allowed.....legalities......not sure.

But all the outfitters supply lead shot.

Very cool. I think the best part of that experience is getting to shoot fully plumed birds. They are long gone from here before they plume but egads I cannot get behind the idea of shooting over water any more...

We just got back from Mazatlan and at the resort ran into some good ole boys from Arkansas that were dressed in camo and hunting ducks. They were enjoying themselves and said they had had good luck.

Wow! Great hunt! Full-plumaged birds means late season and cold weather to my brain.. seems incongruous to be shooting them in T-shirt weather!

Pleasant climates and wing shooting / fishing combinations should be prescribed more often. Those have been my favourite hunts, even when they were just a side to something far more marketable.

Taking my boys to South America on a wing shooting / fishing / photo expedition is becoming a rather consuming thought.
