It looks like the rifled portion of the barrel is no more than 10" long at most. That will result in low velocity, poor trajectory and inadequate terminal ballistics. At best it is a close quarters weapon.

I'm not sure what you mean by K + K? Anyway I think we are on the same side on this one, I'm fine with this rifle being made in Mexico, it's still an HK in my books. I'd perfer to get a VW built in Germany but I'd still buy one made in Mexico if I had to. If we could get them I would but I doubt the state arsenal will sell to civie's.

However, to each their own. I've got a stag on the side of my rifle, but never thought much about how it looks. Some say the deer is queer- its all in the eye of the beholder.

They could have put a little more effort into making the serpent look better though....
