Just have their .223 in FMJ and HP. If it's the same as the .308 -> As other's have said: dirty but ok for plinking. That said, it was just a bit cheaper than the AE redbox .308 last time I was into a store...
The 7.62x39 version soft points are deadly accurate in my cz858 and my goto hunting round. They feed so well because they're nickel plated.
I have used the 308 fmj's in my m305 and have had no problem. It's hot ammo and a bit on the messy side but at $12.00 per 20 I like it a lot. It even works well in my Ruger Scout, a lot better than the Norinco FMJ's that barely even feed in either rifle. My friend tried that crap in his Rem700 and the bolt wouldn't even close.
The boys at my local gunshop said the .223 stuff chrono'd around 3100 fps avg 55 gr hollow pt, with very little deviation between rounds in velocity. I have put a few hundred rounds through a new mini 14 target, no issues, other than as others have mentioned a bit dirty. I like it, on the other hand, coyotes, gophers, and slough rats hate the stuff.
I am going back to the store soon, going to pick up a couple more cases. price is right. I am interested to hear how the 308 stuff performs for you.
Shoot it out of a TC Icon and can get 1-2" groups easily @ 200 yards. Dirty as anything though. Paying about $12.95 for 20 (.308) and 7.99 for 20 (7.62x390
